The maids getting TV. It reduces their already low productivity. Filipinos are generally lazy. That’s why all the multinational companies chose to set up shop elsewhere in South East Asia. Also TV is a bad influence to maids. They get ideas.
Yeah, ideas to steal the money in my wallet. Use my cell phone to pass a load to them. Not wash the utensils and the plates and the glasses properly. You get that sticky dried up flake that looks like dried booger on your glass. How’s that for improving your appetite or quenching your thirst.
Also they stare at the screen like flies to a candle. It renders them immobile. When I tell them to do something it takes twice as long. And to think that they sleep all day in their bed when they’re not doing anything.
I should be the one sleeping!!!!

I'm guessing that you pay your domestic helpers way below the minimum wage. So, in a sense, you're getting what you pay for. It's exploitation in both directions.

Of course, 99.9% of domestic helpers in the Philippines don't get anywhere close to minimum wage. No wonder people are leaving this country in droves to find work overseas... usually as domestic helpers.
