There was a problem? No kidding

I just tried to unsubscribe from a mailing list. How hard can that be, right? Just enter my email address, click submit, and....

"There was a problem"? What the fuck? That has got to be the most useless error message since "Keyboard missing; press F1 to continue." And it's not as if I asked for something complicated. I didn't ask for world peace or a cure for cancer. All I wanted was to never see your crappy newsletters again. How can you possibly screw that up?
And don't you want to at least tell me what the problem was? No? Not even a little hint? Fuck you.

LoLz
you can try contacting them about the problem.
Nah
I've already decided that these guys are morons and that contacting them for help would just waste my time and frustrate me further. I'll just block their email address, hehe.
Simple
They just don't want you to unsubscribe. Sue them!

Yes, they should be in jail
for that criminally bad error message.
They won't be jailed
unless someone charges them in court.
Besides, you know programmers. They are lazy. You should know. =P

I know :-(
I think I'm guilty of a few "An error has occurred." messages myself. Pot, kettle....
Yea
When you try to subscribe they'll be all warm and fuzzy with you. When you try to unsubscribe they'll throw the arctic at you.
you do realize
those "unsubscribe" links only assure them that you're still a living, breathing person, right? then they can serve you more ads and make more monies. unless it's from a big-name newsletter, you never "unsubscribe"
I know, haha
But it's not spam. It's a legit mailing list that I did sign up for, so "unsubscribing" does no harm since they've already verified my address a long time ago.
Clearly they are douchebags.
Clearly they are douchebags. *again* :P
I'd call them dumbasses, but...
same difference.
Oh I got the same problem for 2 weeks
Except my case, I was trying to log in. Matter's solved now after visiting them twice but nobody believes it's not my fault. They try to be nice but it's written all over their faces "It's your fault!". Sheesh.
Yes
We techies can be condescending assholes sometimes :-P Making users cry brings us happiness.
Had a problem with my YM once, can't do anything with it
Because it kept disappearing on me as soon as I try to log in or get any of the options tab to open. So I emailed them for help telling them I can't give them the make as the messenger quits before I even get to that point. And guess how they replied? They pasted the FAQ on how to do it. The same freaking FAQ you need to go through before being able to file the stupid complaint! (i.e. If-this-does
-not-help-click-here-to-contact-our-support-team. kind of bull!)
Now that Microsoft
is taking over Yahoo, I'm sure their customer service will be much better.
